What is Tagging?

I'm not really sure, but I'm game.

I was tagged by Harper.

The Rules:
1. Grab the nearest book
2. Open it to page 56
3. Find the 5th sentence
4.Post the text of the sentence in your blog along with instructions
5. Don't dig for your favorite book, the cool book or the most intellectual - Pick the CLOSEST.

Ok this is weird. My closest book is -

"Gun's Recognition Guide" by Ian Hogg and Terry Gander

The sentence reads...

"There is also a safety notch in the hammer and the trigger is disconnected from the firing mechanism unless the slide is fully forward."
(It is describing a Walther P5)

Andy, you are next.

Ps. Just to make sure you don't think we are complete psychos here, my next closest book (i'm not making it up) is "Reading Lolita in Tehran" by Azar Nafisi. It would have been much more interesting.

out with the faux...in with the new.

Ok that was bad. Here's the story. Every time we saw the house, I kept looking at the banister and thinking that there is something amiss. Well as it turns out there was something funky about it. Its painted to look like wood, which had the odd effect of making it look like plastic. Not good fresh new plastic but worn out, beaten up, at the end of its life plastic.

See for yourself.

Well that left me with a few choices. One, I could take the time to strip numerous layers of paint and finish out of all the nooks and crannies, sand it, and then have to refinish it.
Or
Option number two, just paint over it all. (which still isn't as fun as it sounds)

I choose paint. (it was cheaper)

Wedding pictures

This was what I was up to last weekend. My sister in-law got married. It took place in Brooklyn, right near the bridge. These pictures were taken by someone else. (they let me borrow them)

The Groom's side.

The Bride's side.

The Bride and Groom.

The Paebaek Tea Ceremony.
(Korean Ceremony to honor the parents)

The sweet wonderful people that I borrowed the pictures from.

Fun in the rain.
Yes, that is the bride running through the down pour that happened later that night.
